Term 4 Newsletter

Hi everyone

Can you believe that we are nearly half way through the last term of the year! Lessons are going well and I am loving seeing the happy faces turning up every week!

Thank you very much to everyone that has returned the survey. I am very happy to say that the intensive holiday lessons are definitely on! I will be getting a timetable out shortly to everyone that has expressed an interest in the classes.

On a less happy note, I need to give everyone notice that I will be increasing my prices to $17/lesson from 1 January. Unfortunately the running costs for the pool are higher than I anticipated, so the increase reflects this. Sibling discounts will still apply, but please do contact me to arrange a payment plan if paying in full is difficult.

BackstrokeAs I recently posted on Facebook, my Terms and Conditions state that I do not offer make up classes. This is for many reasons, one being class consistency and dynamics, plus my class capacity (most are now full). However, I know that there have been a lot of nasty viruses out there, so as a gesture of goodwill (and because I want my pupils to keep progressing – missing lessons is not good for that!), I will be offering a Saturday afternoon of make up classes. The only date I can do is Saturday 21 November. The timetable I have cobbled together is this:

2PM BABIES 6-18M
2.30PM LEVEL 1-2 PRESCHOOL
3PM TODDLERS 18-36M
3.30PM LEVEL 1-2 SCHOOL AGE
4PM LEVEL 2-3
4.30PM LEVEL 3-4
5PM LEVEL 2-3
5.30PM LEVEL 5+

I will be filling these classes on a first come first served basis, so please do contact me on cathy@seaturtleswimschool.com.au as soon as you can. Where applicable, please give me a first and second choice. Depending on the replies I may have to jiggle the classes slightly.

May I also take this opportunity to remind everyone to please look in the lost property box? It is overflowing! I reckon I could start up my own goggle shop by the end of the year! Another housekeeping issue I need to remind everyone about is eating in the pool area. The Department of Health is very strict on not allowing this. Not only does it attract vermin, but the other day I found an almond lying on the floor. I teach kids with severe nut allergies and it would be really awful if they had come into contact with the nut. So, please, leave the snacking until you are in the car 🙂 Thank you!
